I styled this adorable Selena top for a day out in midtown Memphis with my love. Hopefully, you guys know where the saying from my top comes from?!? Selena Quintanilla-Perez was a beautiful singer/songwriter/actress/fashion designer whose life ended tragically and way too early at age 23. I remember dancing to her music with my bff in the 3rd grade. I was and am a fan! Bidi Bidi Bom Bom was one of her many hits. There's a great movie about her life starring Jennifer Lopez called 'Selena' that I highly recommend.
I tend to have a thing for graphic tees that have quirky sayings. Maybe it's because I am pretty quiet in real life, but I definitely like to speak through my clothes and style. Graphic tees will forever be my favorite article of clothing to dress in. They are so fun and versatile. I can think up so many ways to style this top. Pair it with denim cut-offs, skinny jeans, patterned pants, and maxi skirts just to name a few. Don't forget that you can dress them up or down.
I couldn't resist all the texture and color going on when I saw this building it was just picture perfect.
In other news... We survived our first Cooper Young Festival. It was so GREAT and HOT and FUN and BUSY! We are grateful for everyone that came out! We're about to reach Mucho's 1yr birthday on Black Friday, and I think I have learned a lot from popups and festivals. I want to work on some things. Like upping my festival booth game and presentation, troubleshooting network issues at the bigger events, and finding a solution to be able to checkout customers seamlessly. Luckily, between my husband, sister, and my phones, we stayed connected and only had one sale not go through on CY Fest day. The crazy part was that we had a hotspot but my husband's, Randall, phone worked best off the hotspot. He has CSpire. But we did it and it felt good to interact with our customers irl as always!
Love. Mucho Mucho.
