Definition:  A cascarón (plural cascarones, without accent mark; from Spanish cascarón, "eggshell," the augmentative form of cáscara, "shell") is a hollowed-out chicken egg filled with confetti or small toys. Cascarones were always a big part of our Easter traditions growing up. Upon doing research for this post, I learned that the act of breaking a confetti egg over someone’s head is supposed to bring good luck, who knew?
