Repurposed Wool Decor Giraffe - Mexico

Our Chiapas, Mexico artisan partners have created these remarkable pieces using scraps of wool sourced from their own sheep within the community. They wash, card, spin, and dye the wool before weaving it on a back strap loom to create cloth, which is used for their own clothing. The remaining scraps are then used to handcraft these magical animal figures, shaped and sewn with care, and filled with stuffing. All of this is done within the comfort of their own homes, ensuring that each piece is imbued with love and care.
